Google posted their 10 concepts of design on their corporate page and I think they are an awful lot like the industry standards:
1. Focus on people—their lives, their work, their dreams.
2. Every millisecond counts.
3. Simplicity is powerful.
4. Engage beginners and attract experts.
5. Dare to innovate.
6. Design for the world.
7. Plan for today’s and tomorrow’s business.

Now this is a reason to be excited about technology.
There are companies that are selling the instructions and the parts so that we can change our cars into hybrids that use this technology to improve gas mileage and decrease pollutants. One of them is offering the whole deal for less than $200 check it [...]

I remember when I was so excited to use the Google Earth application before. To show students the world and have them explore. Then there was the rumblings about street view and satellite imagery. In the world that I picture, education will be a priority again. Not sports stars and pop stars, or wars. Instead, we will focus our energies on our childrens’ learning. We have all this amazing technology and as far as I can tell, the kids are the ones who really know how to use it [...]

I imagine combining this technology with GPS, mobile internet and lasers to create….something….

I took a webinar yesterday about developing music applications with Flex and distributing them as AIR applications.
During the class, a fellow student shared this great ‘Flex for Designers’ resource.
